Sound engineer and founder of LAUSKA Studio, specializing in Dolby Atmos and acoustic music productions across diverse international collaborations.
EngineerI began my career as a sound engineer in 2006, when I founded LAUSKA Studio and built my first recording and stereo mixing room. Since then, studio work has been my daily routine, and I have recorded several hundred albums, mainly related to Latvian folk, world, and traditional music. In 2019, I built my first Dolby Atmos mixing room. Over time, experimenting with KRK, Genelec, and Focal speakers and various configurations, I have now arrived at a 7.2.4 Neumann speaker system, which I am very satisfied with. For the room design, I used the Dolby Atmos Room Design Tool, and the speakers are calibrated using Sonarworks SoundID Reference software. LAUSKA Studio is located in Riga, the capital of Latvia, and is also included in the Dolby Atmos Music Studio Directory on the Dolby Professional website. In the LAUSKA studio Dolby Atmos playlist, you can hear a variety of interesting collaborations with musicians from Africa and Asia, wind orchestra, choir, music for dance performances, live concert recordings, music for children, and Latvia’s Eurovision 2025 entry. Although most of my work consists of compositions featuring acoustic instruments, I believe that the possibilities offered by Dolby Atmos can add a new dimension to music of any genre, and I enjoy working with artists from a wide range of fields.
